The Approach to the Normal
In the early 1920s efforts were made to boost enrollment at the Bloomsburg State Normal School. One of the means of doing this was to create slick, glossy catalogues that extolled the virtues of the school and the educational opportunities it offered for training teachers. they contained numerous photographs showing off the "friendly campus on the hill" with its buildings, grounds, classes and student groups. This exhibit shows what the campus was like many years ago, utilizing the pictures, captions, and information from these catalogues.
