BIOLOGY 410/510: Integrative Invertebrate Zoology

Freshwater Crayfish : A Journal of Astacology, published by the International Society of Astacology, is an important journal for the study of freshwater crayfish. Articles are only available from the Library through interlibrary loan, and because the journal is not indexed in any of the indexes/abstracts provided by the Library, identifying articles of interest in the journal requires a different technique.

1) Browse through issues individually online on its website and read the article abstracts. Click on the Table of Contents link for an individual issue to see the articles available in that issue (shown below)  --

You can also try searching within Google, limiting your search to the domain https://www.astacology.org/. This generates more results than using Google Scholar. However, a search for microplastics in either Google or Google Scholar will not yield any results.

In regular Google, try limiting your results to a specific domain (.gov, .edu, .org, etc.) by domain. Add site:[domain] to your search. For example, you might search for invertebrate zoology site:gov

In Google Scholar, you can get access to the Library's full text journals by enabling Library Links. Go to the Menu (3 stacked lines) > Settings > Library Links > search for Bloomsburg University, select and save.  For more info, view this FAQ.
