Swank offers access to streaming movies from major Hollywood studios, documentary providers, independent filmmakers and international film companies to provide a diverse library of more than 26,000 films.

 

Swank Digital Campus

 

TO FACULTY:  Search the Swank catalog to find available titles, or search and request a film through the Swank Digital Campus portal. First time users, create your instructor account using these instructions. Upon the request of a faculty members, titles are reviewed and selected for one-year licenses.

1. Access the Swank Digital Campus portal and at the prompt select Instructor.

2. Create your account: using your BU email (SSO). Verify your Swank account from your BU email account.

3. To search for a film, click on the link in the upper right corner to Visit Content Catalog

Or search the Swank Digital Campus portal to find and request a film. Either use the search box in the upper right corner --

4. Find the film and click on the request button below the film. At the prompt, complete the request form and click on Send Request. The library will respond to requests within 2-3 days. When a film is licensed, you will be notified automatically by email.

5. You and your students will be able to view the film through the Swank Digital Campus portal using most standard web browsers, or by using the Swank Media Player app on a mobile device (see the box below for detailed instructions on mobile viewing).

Viewing films from a mobile device

Viewing films hosted on Swank Digital Campus on a mobile device requires the Swank Media Player app, which is free to download for both iOS and Android devices. 

Once you have downloaded the app on your device, you must click "play" from your device's web browser. This will prompt the app to open and allow you to watch the film.
