Getting articles full text

Plan A:

In MOST library databases, you will either see an option for the PDF (making things easy) or you may see some other icons. The first icons most likely will be the publisher (like Elsevier), who want your money. Don't pay them. Always click on the Full Text Finder icon in library databases, which will give you access to the Library's subscriptions in other databases.

Looks like this:

Plan B:

Copy and paste the article title (not the journal title) into Google Scholar. Put quotation marks around the title if you get too much stuff. You never know what resources will be available through Open Access from the publisher or author and may get lucky. (Bonus Tip: Google Scholar will also let you know if our library has something too. Go to Settings > Library Links > search for Bloomsburg and enable the links. Click on FullText@BU on the right side to view an article.)

What else can I do?

You can also use Citation Finder  to see if the library has a specific article. Enter the DOI, PMID, or the full citation. If your citation is incomplete, search Publication Finder to find a specific journal title and then drill down to your article.

Final option?

If all else fails, you can ask a librarian or request the article through interlibrary loan (for free). If you have never used Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) before, find more information here.
