This excellent site, based on Diana Hacker's text, provides multiple examples of how to cite different types of sources (books, articles, gov docs, etc) in APA style. The publisher has removed the direct link, but the site is still available through the Internet Wayback Machine.
The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) provides this resource, revised according to the 6th edition of the APA manual, offers examples for the general format of APA research papers, in-text citations, endnotes/footnotes, and the reference page.
