Interlibrary Loans - ARTICLES & BOOKS
If materials (journal articles, books, etc.) are not available in Andruss Library collections, you can request them from other libraries using a service called interlibrary loan (ILL). Please note: the Library CANNOT request materials we have in our own collections, so check before submitting a request (or Ask a Librarian for assistance).
To place an ILL request, you will submit an Interlibrary Loan Request Form. Your login is your HuskyID and password. The preferred method for submitting a request is to use the Article Linker / Check Availability button within the databases, the form will automatically populate.
For questions (such as how long your request will take, how long you can keep the material), please see further information provided on the Interlibrary Loans page of the Andruss Library website or Ask a Librarian.
Document Delivery - ARTICLES
The Library also offers desktop document delivery of articles that are available in the Library in print format only. For example, the Library has the journal Advances in comparative physiology and biochemistry available print only, from 1962 - 1982. A user can either come to the Library, find the journal on the shelf, and make a photocopy of the desired article at $.10/page OR the user can request it be sent to him/her electronically via document delivery at no charge.
To request an article via document delivery, use the interlibrary loan form (ILLiad) to submit your request as you would request an article the Library does not have.
