Interlibrary Loans - ARTICLES

I need an article Andruss Library doesn't own. Can I get it?

Yes, you may request the article through interlibrary loan if our Library does not have it. Since interlibrary loan agreements do not allow us to request materials we have in our collections, always check first to make sure the Library doesn't have the item before submitting a request (or ask for help). Also, since we are limited by copyright law to request a limited number of current articles (last 5 years) from any one journal title, please be judicious in your requests.

To place a request, use the 'Check Availability' or 'Article Linker' links in the databases (for more info, view a tutorial), or fill out a form available here. You will first login with your HuskyID and password.

For questions (such as how long your request will take, how long you can keep the material), see the Interlibrary Loan page of the Andruss Library website.

If you have questions, please submit a question via our Ask A Librarian page or ask at the Circ Desk (1st floor) for assistance.

Interlibrary Loans - BOOKS

I need a book Andruss Library doesn't own. Can I get it?

Yes. Submit a book request via ILLiad. Please verify your mailing address is current (see Change User Information at ILLiad Main Menu).

Books borrowed from other libraries must be received at Andruss Library first and then forwarded to you. Please be aware this may take several weeks, and the amount of time you can keep the book will be limited. Plan your research accordingly.

Visit our General ILL FAQ to review what types of items are not available or are difficult to obtain via ILL. We regret that the short loan periods for Audio-Visual items means that we cannot obtain AV materials for Distance Education students. Please note: we can only ship items within the US)

Visit the Distance Education FAQ for more information about distance education & ILL/Document Delivery.

Document Delivery - ARTICLES

Occasionally an article will only be available in print format. For example, the journal AORN connections is available only in print, not electronically. As a convenience, the Library provides desktop document delivery for students and faculty.

To request an article through Document Delivery, use the ILLIad (interlibrary loan) option available via 'Article Linker/Check Availability' within the databases, or manually fill out the form here to submit your request.
