Deep Web Search Engines

Made by the University of California Riverside, Infomine is an enormous list of edited, reviewed, authoritative online resources.

IncyWincy is renowned as a "deep" search engine which indexes more specialized sites than "surface" search engines, such as Google and Yahoo!

This site is a product of the merger of the Internet Public Library (IPL) and the Librarians' Internet Index.  Though made by and for librarians, this is perhaps one of the best known general directories.  Every site is evaluated by librarians.  It offers a broad hierarchical structure for navigation.
