Andruss Library is a Federal Depository Library, which means we receive government documents straight from the federal (and Pennsylvania state) government.  You can use the search box below to search only for government documents located in our library.

You might also want to try the following library databases:

  • Lexis-Nexis Congressional. Lets you search for Congressional hearings. Not everything is full-text. If you find a hearing you want that isn't full-text, use the links above to check if it's online. If not, it's likely the library has it on microfiche.
  • U.S. Congressional Serial Set, 1817-1980. Reports, documents and journals of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

The amount of government information on the web is sometimes overwhelming as well as difficult to hunt down.  Often, the best bet for finding something is to figure out what agency or office was responsible for the information you want and then mining that agency/office's web site.  Try the A-Z List of Agencies
