Literature matrices

As you 'synthesize' your 6 research studies, you'll explain how the studies pertain to your question/purpose and how they relate to each other. To organize your thoughts and themes, try using a matrix to take notes as you read the studies. This guide explains a method called a 'matrix' where you collect the relevant information you'll need to write your synthesis and help you stay organized, so that you're not flipping back and forth through your articles.
