You Spoke: Library Hours

by Katie Yelinek on 2022-03-21T09:51:14-04:00 | Comments

Welcome to the second in a series of posts about the LibQual survey results.  Today we're talking about the Library’s hours.

One comment we got repeatedly was a desire for longer weekend hours, later hours during the week, and/or a general return to the hours the Library kept before the pandemic.

We hear you. We understand your frustration about shortened hours. We understand that it’s annoying when the Library isn’t open at a time you want it to be.

Like many other services on campus, the Library is currently operating with reduced staffing.  We simply don’t have as many people working in the building as we did before the pandemic. That means we can’t keep the building open as many hours as we used to.

But, we hear you. If/when the staffing issue is resolved, we will definitely take another look at the hours.

If you have questions about the LibQual results, please contact Katie Yelinek.
