The LexisNexis databases are vastly different from other databases in that they do not have a subject arrangement. Instead, the databases search for your keywords throughout the fulltexts of the articles. There are, however, ways to manipulate your keywords to get better results. Note the truncation symbol for Lexis/Nexis is an exclamation point (!)
This search feature asks the database to list articles with the two adjoined words appearing in the same sentence.
Example: seed money w/s entrepre!
Commands the database to list articles with text containing at leastx number of appearances of the parenthesizedword or phrase.
This will list articles containing the term “supplier” at least three times.
