General Library Research Tutorial

Fundamental concepts and vocabulary used in library and information research.

  Periodicals & Articles

Andruss Library provides access to over 70,000 magazines, journals, and newspapers. They may be found in various formats, including online, print (current and bound volumes), or microform (fiche or film).

To find online journals, search the BU Journal List listed on the Library's website. You can also use the library's databases to find specific journal articles online. Both BU Journal List and the library databases are accessible on and off campus. If off campus, you’ll be prompted to ‘authenticate’ that you are a BU student.

When searching one of the library's databases, look for the Article Linker icon to see if an article is available:   (View a tutorial demonstrating how to use Article Linker here)

To browse current print issues go to:

Andruss Library Current Periodicals Collection (2nd floor)

(The magazine racks lift up for previous issues.)
